Steve Shill is an Emmy Award winning TV pilot and movie director. He is one of the most experienced in today’s business having directed and produced many of the biggest shows around the world for the last two decades. His credits include THE SOPRANOS, ROME, DEADWOOD, THE WIRE, DEXTER, LAW & ORDER, THE WEST WING, ER, THE TUDORS, BLINDSPOT, THE FLASH, CHICAGO FIRE, SUPERGIRL and many, many others.

Born in England, Steve is a graduate of Leeds University Fine Art Department where he was an oil painter, printer and photographer. He became an actor with groundbreaking British experimental theatre company Impact Theatre Cooperative then wrote, directed and produced his own theatre work around the world for seven years. Steve was invited onto the BBC Drama Directors Course in London and went on to direct all of the top UK dramas including EASTENDERS, CASUALTY and THE BILL.

Steve won the Emmy Award for directing the Season Four finale of DEXTER. He was nominated for a WGA Writer’s Award for his script of DEADWOOD which he also directed. Steve directed the Screen Gems smash hit movie OBSESSED starring Beyonce Knowles and Idris Elba which opened at number one and was the studio’s biggest box office hit to date.
